About Snap-8
Snap-8 (Ac-EEMQRRAD-NH₂) is a synthetic acetylated octapeptide analogue of the N-terminal sequence of SNAP-25. It competitively inhibits the formation of the SNARE complex in research models, making it a tool for studying neuromuscular junction signal transmission.
Snap-8: research context
- SNARE complex formation and inhibition research
- Neuromuscular signal transmission studies
- SNAP-25 protein interaction pharmacology
- Botulinum toxin comparative mechanism research
Storage and handling of Snap-8
Store lyophilised peptide at −20°C, protected from light and moisture. Once reconstituted, store at 4°C and use within 28 days. Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles to preserve integrity.
Research Use Only. This product is intended solely for in vitro laboratory research. It is not approved for human or veterinary use, and must not be used as a drug, food additive, or household chemical.
Snap-8 peptide UK – acetyl octapeptide-3
Snap-8 (INCI name acetyl octapeptide-3) is a synthetic eight-amino-acid peptide, Ac-Glu-Glu-Met-Gln-Arg-Arg-Ala-Asp-NH₂. It is an elongated analogue of acetyl hexapeptide-8 (Argireline) and is modelled on the N-terminal end of the SNAP-25 protein.
Snap-8 is used in cosmetic-science and cell-biology research into the SNARE complex, the protein assembly involved in vesicle fusion and neurotransmitter release, and in formulation studies of cosmetic peptides alongside compounds such as GHK-Cu.
Snap-8 10mg is supplied lyophilised at ≥98% purity by HPLC, with batch documentation available on request. Order before 3pm for same-day dispatch with tracked UK delivery. Research use only; not for human consumption.
