About MGF
MGF (Mechano Growth Factor) is a splice variant of IGF-1 characterised by a unique 24-amino acid C-terminal E-domain peptide. It is expressed in mechanically stimulated muscle tissue and is studied for its ability to activate satellite cells and initiate tissue repair independent of the systemic IGF-1 receptor pathway.
